[MLB-WIRELESS] Impact of New Legislation?

The ABC is reporting that
the Federal Government has recently
drafted legislation to explicity
prohibit the posession and transmission
of child pornography on the Internet
(turns out it wasn't illegal until now).

Does anyone have any clue how this legislation
will impact on community networks? Does
'posession' include having a copy in a cache?
What happens if someone else's traffic passes
through your equipment and gets cached on the
way? What happens if the traffic is encrypted
so you don't even have a way of knowing what
is cached?

Personally I suspect the average law enforcement
officer probably wouldn't know what a cache is and
would see the mere presence of such material
as 'posession'.

Does anyone have any answers?

Regards
John
