Interesting point that. I doubt if I would be intersted in MW is it was just 
a case of pony up the cash and stick it on the roof.  The problem I see with 
this complete device approach is that it is a lot more $$ than someone would 
fork out on a whim, whereas the homologation route ( old PC, WRT54G etc.) 
alows someone to get into it more slowly, get a router at home, add a high 
gain antenna, get a second one etc. The $$ still come out the same but you 
don't notice because you are on the journey.

That said, I would support MW purchasing WRAP kits for setting up those 4 
backbone nodes  the commitee are tasked with doing this year.

Oh, have you seen the gateworks kit? Uses the Intel X-scale processor.  I 
really like the idea of having more than 2 Mini-PCI slots. 2 is fine for a 
Cx Node (1 for AP, one for link) but a serious backbone node needs 3 or 4
