What do I think?

Well, I think we should concentrate on getting Melb Wireless up and running 
properly first.
If we had this much activity setting up nodes and helping others get 
connected as we
have had on this topic.....(once again I might add) the MW mesh would be up 
and running
a lot quicker with more nodes.

and, I tend to agree, it would prob bring on the leeches and flood the 
network.
lets just work on getting it running right!
