[MLB-WIRELESS] Node under construction...

Hi guys...

Am a newbie to wireless... have some, I guess pretty basic questions with
regards to getting connected.

1/ Will I be able to get by with RH7.0 without a lot of messing around
looking for card drivers?  Can install a new distro if I have to, but 7.0
has been good to me.

2/ Can anyone reccomend one or more cards that would be a good starting
place?

3/ Cutting costs and using a cantenna, what kind of range can I expect to
achieve?  What kind of cable are we reccomending for little signal loss from
antenna to socket?

4/ Need to be able to connect to someone from Keysborough... South
Clayton/Springvale looking like the best options I can see, but maybe
someone can suggest someone else.
