[MLB-WIRELESS] hops over water - reflective properties of water for microwaves...

Hi all.

anyone have any idea how microwaves behave in reflection? I know water is
"solid" as far as water is concerned... but would a directional beam bounce
off water? and how shallow would the beam need to be wrt the water surface -
(never mind that the ocean is largely not flat - even at 12.5 cm
wavelengths...)
