 From the node creation page: "It is important that you use the 
geographical boundaries only as a guide - for example, if you find 
yourself physically in one area, but with better LOS to a neighbouring 
area, select the neighbouring area as yours."

To link into the network you'd have to go through the Peninsula area, so 
if anything, I'd choose that.
