SanDisk <http://www.sandisk.com>, one of the top producers of compact
flash and other memory cards, a few minutes ago at the Consumer
Electronics Show <http://www.cesweb.org> publicly introduced the
"world's first cards combining flash memory and wireless communications."

The "Connect" product line includes:

1. A 128MB compact flash card with 802.11b. Retail: $129.95.
Available March 2003.

2. A 256MB secure digital card with 802.11b. Retail: $149.95.
Available June or July 2003.

3. An 802.11b compact flash card without any memory. Retail: $99.95.
Available June 2003.

4. An 802.11b secure digital card without any memory. Retail:
$99.95. Available March 2003.

SanDisk will offer a 256MB compact flash card by the middle of this year
SanDisk's Connect product line includes four products -- dual function
128MB compact flash and 256MB SD card with WiFi.

The advantages are you don't need two CF or SD slots. Also, there would
probably be a power savings since you're not powering two cards.

Reporters who attended the press conference at the CES received a free
802.11b compact flash card (no memory included).
