[MLB-WIRELESS] OT: how to get rid of "web client network" and "Microsoft Terminal Services"?

Does anyone know how to get rid of these entries in my Explorer (WinXP
pro)?
Also, what are they actually for?
I would also like to stop Explorer "remembering" which LAN shares I've
opened and "helpfully" make a list of shortcuts to them in Explorer....
Any ideas?
