 From all the blurb I've read on the ACA site and other related sites, I'd 
not be holding my breath waiting to receive confirmation in writing. The 
House of Representatives committee that's assessing the situation re: 
broadband access, community wireless, etc 
(http://www.dcita.gov.au/nsapi-graphics/?MIval=dca_dispdoc&ID=6326) is not 
due to complete its review until after October this year. Until this is 
finished, I doubt we'll get much "official" or written comment on the issue.

This is separate to the Senate committee kicked off by the Democrats & 
Labor, as reported on wireless.org.au 
(http://www.wireless.org.au/stories.php?story=02/06/27/6080712) - it's due 
to complete early next year and is the one that Alston is reported as 
calling "a political stunt and waste of ... time and ... dollars."  That 
one appears to be more focused on rural/regional and cabled systems rather 
than wireless.
