Thanks for the reply Ryan.
Well just got another few questions :P... well if i do this as you say
with a mate, then its only me and my mate and thats it the network ends
there. What i am wondering is are you guys who are neck deep in this
have a network going that i can plug into ( provided that i can find a
good node around me ) ?
Well once again any pointers will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Harman

Good start would be to contact some nodes near you to see where they are
located and if they want to get the ball rolling with their connection.
Otherwise find a friend who wants to link up with you.
You'll need to be able to see their house, or at least very very close
to their house because of course you need to point antennas at
eachother.
The antenna will probably work out to be the cheapest, easiest part for
you because you can either pinch an old Galaxy and modify it or make
your own pringles/coffee can antenna. I'd be mainly concentrating on
the card as that is going to eat te biggest hole in your pocket.
If you think you can get a connection to a mate you may want to see if
anyone is willing to bring over some equipment for you to test the link
with before you go out and invest in your own stuff.
You could just get some cards and link up a couple of PC's inside your
house to play with to begin with.
And don't worry about IP's yet, there's not enough people linked to
worry about it.

Hi Guys,
I got no response to my earlier mail, but i really really wanna join the
exsisting network.
I have read the "Getting Started" on the website but really dont know
where to start. If some one has there own website or a How to pls let me
know. Some specific questions i have .
What antenna do i use?
where do i get the antenna from?
Do i just set up the antenna and point it to my nearest node?
If i do setup a client/server, what ip address do i assign it?
I am sure i will run into lotta trouble so if some one does have a how
to plsssss, i really wanna learn and play with this
Regards
Harman
