Melbourne Hot Spots & Wireless Internet

Greetings Robert

"If any one technology has emerged in the past few years that will be
explosive in its impact, it's 802.11" - Bill Gates. Wireless Internet
provides a compelling value proposition - the capacity to access data at
broadband speeds across both private and public locations, wirelessly.
Research house IDC Australia seem to agree, predicting nearly 10 million
active users of wireless Internet by 2006 in Australia - a compound growth
rate of 95% per annum. That's ambitious market expansion!

In conjunction with InterAct2002 Asia Pacific Multimedia Festival, the
September B2Bcafe looks into the immediate future of wireless Internet &
what this means for you. The Hatch café, in Collins Street is one of the
first public sites in Melbourne to host a wireless hot-spot. Does this mean
laptop presentations over a cup of coffee in a public space, or are there
other inherent values to consumers and hot-spot owners alike? Presentations
& explanations of how wireless technology is expected to impact your life
are necessary!

Join industry leaders from Hewlett Packard, Air Portal, and Pacific
Internet, who will highlight and demonstrate this rapidly evolving
technology as well as provide insights as to how wireless Internet will
impact on you.

The September B2Bcafe is part of the InterAct2002 Asia Pacific Multimedia
Festival - Technology Across Boundaries - Australia's largest annual
multi-medai festival.

Where & When:
		Monday 9th September 2002
		The Hatch Cafe
		Level 1, 257 Collins Street
