Ummm - how does "Why the F***K not????" sound - it seems to work for me 
(along with "Well, it was a good idea at the time" :)

Besides, I've got some chalk and I'm not afraid to use it....

What happened to the fun, the adventure, the excitement and all that stuff? 
Don't let the egos get you down - just get on with it (and if you wind up 
going up against others, do what you can to negotiate an agreement but, if 
there's no joy, utilise the legal/government/news resources you can find 
and "Let slip the dogs of war" :)
