I don't know. It's bullshit, I guess that's business though. And depends 
how technical you want to get, or what kinda network you want setup..you 
can save a hell of a lot if you do the connectors and cables then use 
linux as an AP and get the cards and ex galaxy ants locally, pascoe 
vale/coburg area has HEAPS of them, I went for a skate around just the 
other day and saw at least 10..I saw some big arse ones too, these black 
satelites..they were pointed towards tassie? . . but my experience with 
international orders has been terrrrible so far, really unimpressed.  I 
bought a wireless nic of ebay...  I'm still hoping one day it will get 
here!. Ebay and other international places can have bargins, but they 
try and get you with the shipping costs.

For people that are looking for cards and cable in Australia  I highly 
recommend x.net.au, they seem to be the cheapest in Australia, and it 
only took 2 days to deliver my orders.
