Use the r100 / wl500g, then you get
the extras of usb , printer port, mini pci radio,
(so you can even run 5gig), and a serial port
(just add a uart)

Cheers

Peter

Subject: [MLB-WIRELESS] open wrt compatable gear

Hey everyone,
I'm keen to play with openwrt (www.openwrt.org) on a router/AP and am
not sure what hardware to get. I am thinking that the linksys WRT54GL a
good option as it is listed as supported in the hardware table on the
openwrt wiki. I was wondering if anyone has used openwrt on one of
these? Is this reasonable hardware for openwrt or should I get something

else?

i have read though the wiki
(http://www.melbournewireless.org.au/wiki/?WRT54G ) and that was good
info, but its hard to get a specific revision of hardware (i.e. not v5)
especially if its not the current version.
thanks guys.
Nathan
