[MLB-WIRELESS] Question for the brainstrust

Hey Peter (and others),

Thanks for the response.

The Client<->AP<->Client speed issue is one I'm well aware of, so want to
plan my network to ensure it gets around this.

The vast bulk of communication is thankfully to one point (the machine with
all the files on it, not between two clients), so with my main AP in bridge
mode, I can ensure that the clients are always passing
Wireless->AP->Wired->Server, to avoid the situation described above.

My current AP is a WRT54GS, so I'm hoping just some standard D-Link cards
will talk nicely to it, giving me a fairly cheap sort of option.

Anyone got any experience as to real-world achievable speeds over indoor
short distances with .11g? I have 24Mbps iiNet (and live only about 180m
from the exchange), and I hate my bottleneck to be the last 10m within my
house!

	Fen.
