I've got a WRT54GS which I've flashed with OpenWRT and it seems OK, though I 
suspect that its build procedure automatically compiles with US firmware 
rather than AU, but need to investigate further when I've got some time.

It's also got a really useful bit in their manual about how to get your WRT to 
the point that you can tftp new firmware for a couple of seconds after power 
cycling, just in case you completely trash it.. :-)
