802.11b isnot a replacement for a 100meg network, it is for the more obious
thing, to not use wires, sure its possible to get a speed increase useing
the ti chipset equipment but if you want them all to run at this faster
speed you will have to buy new cards for them all

if its a internal network for a busniess and you have money to burn try
802.11a and you will notice the speed increase, or if you can wait for 11g
to be ratified? ie not to be a draft standerd and become a real standerd
then 11g might be the option your looking for

till then i recomend making a coffee while that file transfures
