A note about the monthly meetings from your friendly neighbourhood
treasurer...

This month we're planning to try something a little different, hopefully
a little more interesting, and a little less daunting for new people.

Throughout the night, various committee members will be outside the
front door (or just inside, if the weather interferes). Feel free to
approach us, grab a name tag, ask questions, give suggestions, become a
member, etc.

Presentations will only be held when there is a presentation that we
feel will be of benefit to the large majority of people in attendence.
This month, there will be no main presentation.

Instead, we would like to form small discussion groups around the room.
These groups will be spontaneous, the committee will have some signs
that can be used to indicate what your group is discussing.

We imagine that Regional Groups will be the primary users of these small
groups, but others may include Routing/Addressing, antennas, network
content, for sale, etc etc. The selection will be purely based on who is
at each meeting.

Just ask us for a sign if theres a topic your interested in that isn't
already being discuessed.

If your new to wireless, or had little oppurtunities to see wireless in
action, there will be an access point running, and anyone with a laptop
will be able to connect and find out some of the basics.

Finally, the regular drinks and BBQ options will of course still be
available!
