You definitely need to be running Win9x. It does not work on W2k, and I would
imagine that XP is the same.

You definitely need to convert the firmware across to the Orinoco firmware, as
described elsewhere.

Note - you need only run the Airport Updater once. After the software is
installed, and the Mac rebooted, it will upgrade any inserted card during the
boot process.
