Fenn,

The exterior of the waveguide is unimportant....so paint anything metal
part you want - if it does not cover the slots.

But if you do choose the paint over the tape covering the slots....then
THAT paint must be transparent at 2.4 GHz.

BTW....the Downpipe material is ZincAlum. So make sure the paint you use
is suitable for ZincAlum.
