This was taken from syd-wireless list. Maybe we can mod it to suit our
purpose. Well I think it's a good starting point.

Dear Neighbour,

Shortly a Sydney Wireless access point will be online in your area.

Sydney Wireless is a community-oriented group. We are creating an
inter-connecting wireless network which will allow members of the
community at large to provide information and the means for free
communication for others to experience, while making use of new
technologies at little or no ongoing cost.

Participants in this are very demographically diverse and utilize the
network for various reasons, some of which include voice conversations
(similar in nature to telephone services), game playing, community news
distribution, and countless other diverse opportunities we hope to
explore.

This is all possible due to advances in radio and computer technology
that allows Sydney Wireless volunteers to link up between homes, all you
need is a personal computer and the appropriate wireless network
hardware available off-the-shelf from most computer stores.

If you are interested in being part of this exciting endeavour or want
more information we encourage you to visit our web site at
www.sydneywireless.org or email your local co-ordinator at
email at address.com

best regards,
Sydney Wireless

NOTE: According to Craig Mead...
<snip>
Sydney Wireless is not creating a network. Sydney Wireless is a news
website. The Australian Wireless Association is creating a network.

I copied this in for clarification.

Cheers
Rob
