Both of you take it off the list, or else this will just get ugly

bad idea to make such gratuitously off-topic posts.

who is this "we" you are talking about?

that traitor Howard may have sold out Australia, the Australian people, and
the
Australian Army by choosing to commit war crimes in this illegal war, but
that
doesn't mean that I, or anyone else with a functioning brain and open eyes,
has
to agree with or identify with it.

it was a crime when the war started, and it's still a crime today.

the capture of hussein means nothing. he's irrelevant, and has been for
over
six months. the invasion of iraq made it possible for the real loonies to
get
a foothold in the country. the iraqi resistance aren't fighting for the
return
of saddam hussein, there's dozens of different groups all with different and
even conflicting agendas. the only thing they have in common is a desire to
kill the invading americans.

convenient timing, though. the trial (if he lives that long) should be just
in
time for the US election next year.

the irony is that the worst thing that the americans could do now would be
to
pull out - which they will want to do more and more as the bodycount
increases.
if they do that then there'll be a bloodbath, followed by a brutal
theocracry
like in Iran.

what's happened in iraq since the war was obvious, all of it was predicted
before the war started - but lunatic ideologues like Bush, Blair, and Howard
refused to listen to reason. they were going to have a war no matter what.
malevolent fools.
