walking around uni and home, there are those few spots where i can get a
marginal connection to an AP (Upper lvls of BA and EN for fellow Swinnie
students), that works mostly, but every 5-20 mins, drops out, causing my
vpn to fail, with some laptop waving ensuing as i try to pick it up again.

What'd be cool is a little 2-3dBi omni i can keep in my bag, and stick
onto the card when needed. Anyone know of such a thing? Failing the
existence of such a device, i suppose it shouldn't be too hard to make
such a thing, but just thought I'd check.

The card is a trusty 'ole enterasys...

cheers

James
