Are you sure? :)

I thought modern AMD and Intel chips used basically the same x86 
instruction set.
Hence, software compiled for the i686 architecture doesn't have to be 
recompiled for Athlons and P3s.

A more appropriate suggestion would be 'using Intel ether express pro 
network drivers with the AMD lance family of network adaptors.'
