Similarly to this, I bought (some time ago, before even interested in
802.11b) an antenna at a garage sale.

It is labelled as a Conifer T-2127. I thought it was a galaxy antenna,
but now I'm not so sure (it has no circuitry built into it as far as I
know).

Google returns the following details (the real page is dead, but the
cache/PDF conversiony thing appears to still load it):

http://216.239.37.100/search?q=cache:1WT05Nm4tMUC:www.conifercorp.com/Jc
.pdf+conifer+2127&hl=en&ie=UTF8

As far as I can tell it's an 18T-2127 18dBi antenna that appears to be
designed specifically for 2.4ghz type stuff. Does anyone know if this is
suitable for 802.11b and why one of these would have been lying around
in australia? (the guy I bought it off had no idea what it was).

I will bring it to the next meeting in any case, but just interested all
the same.

Cheers,

	Fenn.
