[MLB-WIRELESS] Mac and PC laptops as linux wireless routers?

Hi,

I am new to aireless ans sorry for asking a stupid question.

With the 2 configs below, if I were to use 1, do I still need an 
Access Point for multiple PCs connection (or access internet)??

Another word is the wireless router work like an AP ??
