[MLB-WIRELESS] Spread Spectrum question

Spread spectrum is just a technique for spreading a signal over a wide area
of spectrum, rather than having it limited to a narrow band. Plenty of
different techniques to acheive the spreading...
Spread spectrum is possible to be done in any band. It's only legal in a
few though.
Gear -- well, whatever modulation technique you want to use, a chunk of
hardware to do that... I suppose it depends how much you want to build
yourself, and how much you want to buy off the shelf.
802.11b has different cards, some uses FHSS (frequency hopping spread
spectrum), others use DSSS (direct sequence spread spectrum)...
Even if you want to build your own, it's still affordable... In some cases,
even more so than off-the shelf hardware. Though you're likely to need a
HAM licence.

Email me privatly if you want more info as this is getting well away from
the direct scope of the list... Anyone else interested feel free to do so
too..
