[MLB-WIRELESS] Power Over Ethernet in a 5 1/4 inch bay

How about getting a cheap laptop? Would be better/smaller to mount, and extenting the two wires of the plug pack is easier than extending a dozen or so wires. They go pretty cheap these days, and the power consumption is alot less than a PC.

This has been done and works well, with the lappy sitting in an esky at the base of the antenna on the roof. With the esky handle removed, LMR-400 out one handle hole, and the power and ethernet apearing out the other.

Works well, just gotta remember to attach the esky to the pole, otherwise it has a tendancy to slide around the roof on windy days.

Ciao,
Dave.
