[MLB-WIRELESS] SQUID problem

It needs to be started using the full path to the script, so even if you are in the rc.d dir, you still have to type

"/usr/local/etc/rc.d/squid.sh start" (without the "")

See if that works

  I just tested it then.
  cd /usr/ports/www/squid24
  make build
  make install
  /usr/local/sbin/squid -z
  /usr/local/etc/rc.d/squid.sh

  Everything seems OK to me.

    Hi all,

    been trying to get squid running unsuccessfully(under FreeBSD).  when I go to the
    /usr/local/etc/rc.d dir and run ./squid.sh start it gives me a "./squid.sh:
    Cannot determine the PREFIX" error.  Does anyone know what this is talking
    about??  and if so where do I look to fix it.  Oh and it does it no matter
    what I change in the /usr/local/etc/squid.conf file.
