Your next paragraph pretty much summed it up...

" There are two major constants in online life. a lack of understanding and
the lack of lawyers to explain complex legal issues. we've hit both."

The idea of the GPS co-ords was never to publish them online, but to
update the mapping side of things in realtime, and I think that's the
part of my initial statement you've misunderstood.

For the record I think all GPS co-ords from the melb locfinder could be
grabbed as is, view the image url sometime if you wish to see...
NodeDB.com attempts to hide this where ever possible to do so...

Since you've brought up the privacy thing I've hacked up a make shift
privacy statement, you and/or others may wish to look
over/comment/suggest changes...

PS brismesh/David's site has always maintained a 100% open policy on
all data and access to modify it, and in email discussions with him on
it and on privacy side of things in general. David used the below
mentioned quote to describe his views on things...

>> Privacy is a myth... - some dude from Sun

T> and, thats not the quote. this one took me a while, finding and verifying
T> the right quote, after looking for various places, rumours and memories of
T> van eck radiation, oracle, sun, antitrust, MS quotes, etc...
T> "You have zero privacy now. Get over it"

T> --"Sun CEO Scott McNealy, in answering a reporter's question on Jini
T> failing to protect a consumer from being tracked while connected to a
T> network."

Correct, I knew the last part but refrained from sending it, and
thought I knew the first, least now I have a reference to find it in
future...
