I thought your post was pretty good (and thanks for the pointers, I'm going
to be pushing my netstats this week ;) ).  Actually, been looking into
getting into the *BSD systems myself (note the plural).  I was just having a
cheap (and friendly) shot at those who come across as believing in the "One
OS" (whatever that OS is). ;-)
