It all comes down to different motivations for different people.  I have no
need for a wireless network now.  I just like the idea of playing with the
technology. :)

Backup storage, video conferencing, yada yada :)

I'm looking at the "whoever is within range" model.  Access to services will
be controlled by my firewall (and the local terrain! :) ).

Probably just a bit of data, sftp. :)

And then there will be unintentional interference.  If I become active on
2.4 GHz ATV, not only will I have to say good bye to the WLAN, but probably
anyone else in the same valley...  Obviously, I will probably try and avoid
that as much as possible and use another band if I can. :)

I'm a bit of a mountain climber here.  I want to do it because you can, and
it's there to be done. :)
