[MLB-WIRELESS] Can someone explain what this does exactly?

Hi All,

please excuse my ignorance. But can someone explain in simple terms, what
this unit actually does? What is the difference between it and a standard
AP?

I am after a small AP to run a network camera. Would this be something worth
