Would the price be any better if I were after 1 as well? maybe 2.

I just had a look in the junk/storage room here at work and found a box with
about 8 directional antenna's tuned for 2.4Ghz....methinks a few of those
may go missing soon. *cough* *cough*

Compaq WL-200 cards specs
100mW output, 
range 7-8kms that i've tested 11Mbps no probs
price depends on where my supplier can get them, last i think i got was
around the $440 mark
or so but give him a call and see what he can do for you.
