[MLB-WIRELESS] Newbie Warning!!!

Hello All...
Just Chooned in recently to this discussion; the idea of mobile networking 
really opens up the mind!

Question:
I will be setting up a link between my notebook and pc. I'm wondering if you 
guys would recommend 802 v ethernet?

Are there any other *practical* uses of wireless (ie public internet in 
melbourne)?

Should I just get ethernet cards and wait for new standards?
