No, it is a multi-mode card but it still has only a single radio, which can operate in multiple bands. As far as the radio is concerned it is just different frequencies. Speculation here, but it is probably possible to make the radio on these cards operate on all frequencies between 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz if the firmware allows it. I understand this is the very reason why some companies do not want open-source drivers for their cards (ACX100 for example).
