I'd never ditch my melways but since i do alot of driving for work i
was hoping this would make it less stressful or at least more of an
adventure (where will i end up today?). it looks like it does have
pocket pc support of some sort.. it says "<span lang="EN-US"

but i was just going to stick a laptop or small form factor pc with lcd
screen in my car.<br>

oh and yes, this does talk to you, hope the voice isnt too annoying.
I'm pretty sure i'll be purchasing it. the Osprey guys have answered
all my questions quickly and well, and its sounding good. I might even
get around to turning up to a meeting one of these days to show it off
if anyone is interested. <br>

I've used the systems that Hertz has in the states a lot (NeverLost).
I think it is a rebadged Magellan system (not PC based). They are
quite cool to drive with, but can be a pain in the arse in bad weather
if you have no backup. They also suffer from lack of statistical
knowledge about what roads are busy at certain times of the day - I've
found the time estimates to be accurate at night but very unreliable at
busy times.

I personally don't think you need these things in Australia, our road
systems are just too simple, but it would be fun ;-)

BTW those prices are really nice ;-) pity there is no pocketpc support
