to use PASV or passive mode.<BR><BR>Hmm, you get that error when using
active mode behind a NAT router (which a <BR>Linux box doing IP masq
is). You have two choices:<BR><BR>1. Use passive mode on your
FTP client.<BR><BR>2. Load the ip_masq_ftp module on the IP masq
gateway box. This module <BR>fudges the port commands so active FTP
works. If you're FTPing to a non <BR>standard port, you may need to
specify that port in the options for the <BR>module in /etc/modules.conf
