found that a perm modem connection saved me a lot of money, and I didn't have
the 3-4 hour disconnect! The drawback is you will need a dedicated line. I now
offset this cost using ADSL, which is still a perm connection, but doesn't need
a dedicated line. The total monthly charges are roughly similar, if not weighing
a little heavier with adsl.</FONT></DIV>
