I was close. Its been compiled for 2.4.18-6mdk, which is what ships with Mandrake 8.2. I tried installing the kernel from that, which allows the module to load but it doesn't really work. Garbage in some of the fields, iwconfig doesn't want to know about it, the included config tool segfaults often and lots of error messages to dmesg. Hopefully dlink will have a stable, kernel-independent driver out soon.
