Ben, > Who was it that had galaxy-style parabolics for like $150?? That would be TIB at http://wireless.org.au/tib/ There's 24dBi Hills antennas for $164 (no mods required) and brand new Galaxys for $130 (require modification). > It looks like I have maybe 100 of them available, and I could afford to sell > four of them (unmodified of course) for that figure ;) > > I mentioned this style antenna a while back, there were a few interested > enquiries... > > What's the demand like for these? In raw form or modified? In Perth, unmodified 18dBi Galaxys generally sell for about $20, and unmodified 24dBi Galaxys sell for about $40. > I spose after modification (two methods need to be tested) they'd be worth like > $50 plus p&h, hopefully with mounting hardware and N plug/socket. You might be interested in looking at my modification at http://ii.net/~mpot/wireless/conifermods.cgi Testing this mod vs the more common Galaxy mod indicates at least 3dB better signal strength (and 3dB = doubling in signal strength). See http://ii.net/~mpot/wireless/conifertest.cgi for test details and results. Cheers, Martin.
