Morning,
The link from the city to NodeGES now seems to be running.
Welcome back Glenn (NodeGES) & southern region to the network.
It's early days, and things will need some optimisation,
but the change of distance from 30klm to 12.5 klm seems
to have helped the connection.
The next plan is to get AFH up & running again.
For those playing with the madwifi drivers on openwrt a few tips,
I suggest you bring the interface up
then use
sleep 5
athctrl -i ath0 -d 15000
For some reason the distance control doesn't seem to
take effect if you don't have a delay and don't make it the last
command.
to verify it has taken effect try
more /proc/sys/dev/ath0/slottime
59
20 is the default, as you can see the command has changed it to 59
There is loads more information to be had in this folder too.
try
ls /proc/sys/dev/ath0/
Cheers
Peter

LAT Decimal = Dg+(mn/60)+(sec/3600)
LON Decimal = Dg+(mn/60)+(sec/3600)
whats so hard about that?
