Howdy Tyson and Melb-wireless

Still here lurking on list, just been enjoying the sun and good-times
on the gold coast and not doing much wireless'ing.

I've got a wireless lan to serve the various devices I still use
about the house but it's all pretty low level stuff.

The commodore finally gave up and committed engine seizing suicide a
while back, I'm getting around on a wardriving friendly gsxf750
motorcycle now.

Heaps of wireless activity up here, even more defaults than in
Melbourne, there's also 3 or more ISPs doing hotspot rollouts but I
haven't hooked up with any of them yet.

These are a very small area going from the main rd up the coast into
the friendly (read bogan) suburb of Nerang. I can stand on my balcony
in Robina and pickup 6 hostspots with decent strength right now.

Anyway, keep up the good work. If I have one comment to make on the
recent discussions on-list it would be to learn from those who have
done it before you, both in Australia and abroad. Look at all the
other wireless community groups around and see what they're doing and
planning and use the knowledge of the many instead of trying to
invent a new wheel.

Oh and as for the staying on roofs thing, gagf :P

Cheers,

Troy
