You may want to follow the current topic "[MLB-WIRELESS] Bridge 802.11x 
(TKIP or AES)"

If you don't care so much about encryption or are willing to use WEP1 
then both will do the same job for a simple P2P link...

Also, the WAP54Gv2 has a much smaller PCB... ideal for mounting in a 
small weatherproof enclosure... The WRT is almost two times the foot print.
