You cannot run anything on the asterisk server at the same time. This
has been proven time and time again.

Go out and buy a small form factor dell with 2 pci slots it's only 30 x
30 x 10cm high. Anything above a p3-750 is fine.

Because that means having to use more resources in the form of a
physical or
virtual PC...  (even the latter uses significant RAM, by the time you
add
the overhead of an unecessary OS.  And having another physical PC
running
24x7 simply isn't going to fly... :-)
