Hi Clae,
I'm on the www.asterisk.org email list and a whole heap of people have
hooked these up to their asterisk servers, especially in the US where I
now live.
With least cost routing you don't even need to do anything to remember
to dial out using that line.
I'm stunned with Verizon and Cingular mobile networks and how much
market share they must be loosing with their 'in' plans.
Basically not only do I get free calls when I ring my wife but anyone
who happens to be on the cingular network, most of the time you wont
even know who was or wasn't on that network, it's just half of your
calls are free.
Having said that, all of these plans are in the $39+ range so maybe the
mobile carriers just figure that this is the new 'floor' in pricing
models in the same way that landline calls in the USA now have a flat
rate of approx $19 for unlimited calls nationwide per month.
Either way with great tools at your disposal like www.asterisk.org what
a great time to be doing business.
Cheers,
Dean
