While the few forum postings I've seen on this are derisive about the 
included drivers, this seems like a box simply begging for a Linux 
port.   Wonder if it can be made to boot from the HD?

There's also apparently a Netgear unit with a USB 2.0 port for an 
external HD - same musings apply.  Does anyone know if the any of the 
existing ported boxes come in a flavour that could be modded as a 
file server - with say a USB broadband modem port?
