arghh the content of my reply seems to have disapeared so i will retry
I got this card working in both a cradle and a laptop in win xp, after
muddling with it for a while i found there is a simple trick.
Download senao drivers from:
http://www.senao.com.tw/english/product/product_load_w.asp?httptp=1&proid=000033
I had to use opera to get this page to load as mozilla started to do weird
things. Now after you downloaded it run the setup/extract file it will help
f you have card present in system (dont bother installing xp drivers for
this card it wont work properly) ok At this stage you should see the install
finish and not appear to have done anything. and if you try to initialize
the wlan utility it will not start.
So now you have to go to sytem properties, hardware, device manager, find
your card and tell it to update driver ...automatically (i think) it will
find a driver IEEE something or other accept it and let it do its thing.
Your card should now be operational (maybe needs a reboot but i dont think
it does). wire up the installed wlan utility or netstumbler and youre up and
runin :)
ps i dont think it matters if you have an internal antenna card or the one
with external antenna connectors they both use same driver. if you have an
external antenna connectors, the recomendation is not to leave your card
running without an antenna or else damage may result to your card (tho i
have done this before and no harm done as far as i can tell
)
Let me know how you get on.
