I was assuming that this is a "private" network that may have  some part of 
it that will be opened  up  for MW connections. - think of it as a phase 1. 
A possible phase 2 would be adding another radio to Node 1 ( the high one)  
and linking it to an existing MW node. Then Node 1 could also accept 
connections from other MW nodes.  If he did the same at Node 4 he could join 
two areas passing traffic through his connection between Node 1 and Node 4
