Maybe a wave-guide antenna could be connected to your access point?
these have a spread of about 180degress, I have 1 at my house which is 
connect to node GHO atm 7.0KM (just as a test)
I am also connect to other wave-guide's, via 2 parabolic antenna's 1 is 
2.5KM and the other is 5KM+

So one should work quite well for you.
